Human Nature led a team of consultants, including LSM and Kolar Design, to update the Cincinnati Park Board’s system-wide master plan. Cincinnati’s first parks master plan was completed in 1907 by George Kessler and then updated in 1992. The Park Board celebrated its centennial anniversary in 2007 and part of that celebration was the culmination of the new comprehensive plan. The plan will guide future system enhancements, build community awareness and support, be financially efficient and describe a compelling vision for parks and greenspace to help shape the development of the region and the historic landscapes throughout the system. It will also provide the Park Board with tools to promote and complete the plan, including the basic components needed for implementation and management, recommendations for facilities and services, policy updates, operating structure, programming opportunities, revenue generation, and key partners.
